Abstract: Sport is a way of expressing the marginalized and vulnerable groups in society. People with disabilities have become more visible to society in the last 20 years, and those involved in policies to achieve equal status for these groups in society contribute to this. In these processes, on the one hand, athletes, teachers, various volunteers, and specialists are involved, and on the other, more and more state institutions, non-governmental organizations, and public sports clubs. Using anthropological methods of analysis, a specific case is presented in this article, which is a good example of policies to ensure an equal approach to people with disabilities in Bulgaria.
