Deconstructing Differences through Anthropology of Disability, Gender, Ethnicity and Religion

The fundamental understanding of human diversity constantly raises questions about differences, otherness, and their recognition, respect, and social acceptance. The thematic focus of this issue of the Journal Anthropology/ Антропология. Journal for Sociocultural Anthropology aims to address issues related to differences – the social construction of differences, the experience of differences, the social and cultural meaning of differences, and the social actions that can bridge differences.
We welcome papers providing ethnographic and anthropological studies on the following topics (separate or intersected):
- Disability – politics, relations, experience, agency
- Gender – politics, identity, backlash, experience, agency
- Ethnicity – politics, identity, experience, agency
- Religion – identity, politics, experience
- The ethnic, religious, and gender differences and their political use in the contemporary uncertain world
Deadline for manuscript submissions: July 1, 2024.
Deadline for publications: August 2024.
Papers are reviewed anonymously.
